Rabbi Assistant ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

When you use Rabbi Assistant, we collect:

• Google account information — your name, email address, and Google user ID, obtained when you sign in with Google. This is used solely to authenticate you and associate your credit balance with your account.
• Questions you submit — the text of questions you ask within the app. These are sent to our backend server and to the Anthropic Claude API to generate a response. Questions are not stored after the response is returned.
• Purchase information — if you buy a credit pack, your Google Play purchase token is used to verify and grant the purchase. We do not store payment card details.
• Usage data — daily free question counts and credit balances, used to enforce the free daily allowance and deduct credits for paid requests. These are stored in our Redis database; daily counters expire automatically within 24 hours.

How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and grant credit pack purchases
• To process your questions and return Torah passage responses
• To enforce the free daily allowance, rate limits, and prevent abuse
• To respond to support requests

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not store your questions or the responses you receive
• We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes
• We do not collect location data
• We do not use tracking pixels or analytics cookies

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Google Sign-In — for authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google Play Billing — for one-time credit pack purchases. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic Claude API — to generate Torah passage responses from your questions. Subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel — for backend hosting. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
• Upstash Redis — for rate limiting. No personal data is stored, only anonymous usage counters.

Data Retention

We retain your Google user ID and associated rate limit counters only as long as you have an active account. Rate limit counters expire within 24 hours automatically. If you delete your Google account or request deletion, your data is removed within 30 days.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@fiveup.ai. You may also revoke Google Sign-In access to Rabbi Assistant at any time via your Google account settings.

Children's Privacy

Rabbi Assistant is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
